What is Lexia Reading Skills Software?
Lexia's literacy software enables students of all ages and abilities to master essential reading skills. By harnessing the power of technology, through Lexia, schools can equitably provide personalised practise and tuition to all in a time-efficient way.

Utilising a combination of effective, teacher-led instruction combined with an interactive, user-centric experience, Lexia encapsulates a personalised learning approach that fully supports the varying cognitive abilities of all students.
Lexia is not only research-based, but research-proven to accelerate literacy skills. This includes a recent study funded by the EEF which the results received a ‘high security’ rating and delivery was awarded as ‘low cost’.

Recommended Usage
We recommend at least 3x 30-minute sessions of Lexia use to be timetabled each week.

Personally I don't think there is a better piece of software on the market that supports children's reading and language acquisition.

I personally am a huge fan of the Lexia programme! Not only is it very efficient and effective, but literally a breeze for educators to use. The Educator mode is a great efficient resource, along with the skill builders to hand to target specific areas of need. Educators being able to easily track students achievements is a great time saver. It is not only a personalised, adaptive learning programme, but a fun way for pupils to independently develop their learning. Moreso, to attain any gaps needed. (Without pen-to-paper, which often is a barrier.) By pupils being able to self montior their progress and achievements throughout, pushed them to thrieve and is a confidence boost in itself. Pupils absoulutely love the victory screens and certificates. Both these in place do push pupils on to success. Pupils are not phased when failing but instead are encourged to retry to gain their victory. Parents of students have shared that they are pleased and have praise the programme. Along with sharing their children are enthusiastic, and egar to learn at home.

I find Lexia easy to get pupils engage with learning nuances of English grammar. The extracts are interesting and relevant to students age groups. Tasks are well timed. Progress is well recorded, easy to analyse an understand for both students and educators.

I think Lexia has had such a positive impact on our children, it has given teachers a an opportunity to use a resource that is self-led, adapts if the child is struggling and is nothing extra workload wise. It has a way to track the usage and monitor the children's progress within a few clicks to download a report. Finally it is something teachers or TAs could use in their appraisal as evidence for interventions. The children are engaged, having fun and most importantly, learning.

There could be improvements made (auto certificates for power up, quicker processing time when moving through the units of the next question / dictation by the speaker and less 'going back to the absolute beginning of a unit' when a pupil gets the questions wrong - it seems too severe and we think the pupil then starts to lose momentum,
