What is Widgit ?
Widgit Symbols help people read, understand and communicate.
For over 40 years, Widgit Symbols have been used to support language development, literacy, access to text and communication.
Our symbols and software are used in over 10,000 schools, 1,000s of homes and numerous healthcare settings. Additionally with an increasing focus on accessible information, our symbols are used by key public services, leading attractions and sporting venues.
Our core software products Widgit Online and InPrint 3 give you access to the complete Widgit Symbol Library, so you can create your own symbol materials for use in school, at home, and in the wider community.
Widgit Online lets you create visual, communication and learning supports in your web browser using over 20,000 Widgit Symbols and 100s of easy-to-use templates. No installation or updating required!
InPrint 3 is a desktop based solution with access to over 20,000 Widgit Symbols, 100s of editable templates and a range of powerful design features, InPrint 3 is the perfect tool to create visual supports and learning materials.

I really value the impact widgit has on my day to day teaching. It allows me to cater to all of my pupils to ensure they can access the learning.

It's easy and convenient to use, more you explore more the features you understand. Pictures can be added automatically while typing the sentences. Voice feature is good to improve the attention span. Some of the symbols can be changed with our required images is really one of the best features of the WIDGIT.

Before, the child couldn't read any of the text and certainly could not then retrieve information so did not answer any questions. Child able to work quicker.”

As the schools Licensed Thrive Practitioner as well, I have used widgit to prepare resources for emotional support. All of this has impacted on a more robust emotional coaching system and making sure that behaviour expectations are accessible to all.”
