What is The Maths Factor?

The Maths Factor is an engaging online maths homework site which supports great maths teaching at school, by encouraging regular practice at home.

Newly launched for schools, Maths Factor is the perfect tool to help teachers ensure pupils meet age-related expectations.

The course contains over 1,000 maths sessions, organised into the following topics. Carol Vorderman teaches each topic through a fun and lively video, which is coupled with practice sessions to build your child’s knowledge and boost their maths confidence. Now includes brand-new Year 7 topics!

Once signed up to The Maths Factor, on this page you will be able to explore your child’s current topic, jump forward to different topics, or go back and revisit an old topic.

As a parent who was trying to teach topics to an advanced child who is ahead of his peers I found it so reassuring to have such a helpful engaging structure with brilliant videos and practice sessions, along with the games centre and clubs. The homework help section I thought was amazing. I was so looking forward to using this for many years to come with my children so I was very upset yesterday to learn that it was being discontinued. My son loves it and he is only P1 - I thought we had many more years to come with it. We will definitely make the most of our time left with it.
