Pedagogy

Certified Pedagogical Quality

Certified by Education Alliance Finland,

EAF Evaluation is an academically-backed approach to evaluating the pedagogical design of a product. EAF evaluators assess the product using criteria that covers the most essential pedagogical aspects in the learning experience.
Passive
Active
Matric live provides comprehensive, valid pre-curated material. The combination of notes and video lessons is a good and engaging idea. There are several ways for learning; practice, mock exam, practice exam and a casual multiplay. Therefore the student should have easy time to find a suitable mode for studying even if they don't always have much time to invest.
Rehearse
Construct
The learner should know what areas to train, and they are free to take any lesson any time. The learner's knowledge on the area is assessed and it affects the baseline - new questions and certain features open when the learner has reached a certain level in the exams. There is a lot of material and large scale of lectures and training questions. The material is very clearly divided to topics that follow CAPS.
Linear
Non-linear/Creative
In Matric, learning progress is very individual, as all students can study according to their needs. Yet, as the learning outcomes have a fixed effect on progress, learning progress is directly comparable between users. Each module has a clear start and finish, and the performance statistics give the learners clear goals to work towards.
Individual
Collaborative
The app allows the learner to act and progress autonomously, but there are some ways how the learning community is present in the app; The learners can challenge each other to quizzes and see how they are doing when compared with the average learners. Individual approach is very justified on a support app such as this.
