We are extremely impressed with the programme and the impact it has on our learning. The children who use the programme have developed a better understanding of phonics as a collective and are making significant progress in their reading and language within the classroom. There have also been significant improvements in the reading test data throughout the school from these individual children. The programme has now been integrated into our everyday practice, those who use the programme have been able to work more independently in and outside of the classroom without the continuous provision from an adult. The programme is fun and engaging and this helps learners in both the younger and older classes. We have also extended the use of the programme by encouraging the children to use it at home. This has again helped with the general usage of the programme, especially as it can be accessed on a phone, tablet or laptop. It has meant the parents are more aware of their child's learning and children are engaged both inside and outside of the classroom.

We could not be happier and more satisfied with the use of Lexia in our school. The constant support and annual training they offer provide us with access to all the tools available through the platform. We are using Lexia from Year 3 to Year 6, supporting children with their spelling and reading comprehension. Lexia sessions run daily before school, and teachers are already witnessing significant changes in students' achievements, particularly in their writing tasks and comprehension skills. The Lexia programme is also successfully utilised with SEND children at our school, giving them an extra boost and support. Parents find it very helpful that the guided tasks and questions children have to complete are clearly structured and explained.

I feel it is an excellent programme for the students. My biggest challenge is to keep the students motivated as they sometimes say that it is boring.
Kelly Grobler found Lexia Reading Skills Software:

Our experience so far has been excellent: pupils are interested and engaged; the range of skills taught shows that the programme has been developed by experts; the data being produced is of great use to SLT/team leaders/phonics lead; impact on confidence and attainment can already be seen; the range of additional teaching resources will be useful in the broader teaching of English across school; the 1:1 lessons provide a clear script and focus in on micro-skills; customer service (training sessions and email response) has been first-class. Only not a 10 as still feels like we are in the early stage of the investment.
Pip Sinclair found Lexia Reading Skills Software:
- Significantly reduces attainment gap“3 pupils in Year 6 who have been underperforming in SATs tests are now back on track for ARE. Number of children in danger of falling behind in comprehension and grammar understanding for fluency now expected to reach ARE or 98/99 in SATs.”
- Moderately provides school data“Allowing for granular analysis of reading skills - identification of skills gap at micro level impacting on children's ability to access formal assessment independently and with greater success. Expecting to see end of year movement from red into amber for target group in Y3.”
- Moderately improves teaching efficiency“Although still at early stages, we are seeing significant impact on organisation of reading teaching in key year group. Personalised learning allowing teacher to plan and deliver more effective and challenging sessions for those not in need of intervention; LA time highly effective and efficient as supports children working on Lexia. Beginning to see impact of 1:1 sessions.”
- Moderately improves attainment“Too early to say, but expecting to see impact as cohort moves into Year 4: more children able to access class guided reading and others receiving intensified 1:1 interventions as identified by Lexia to accelerate progress.”
- Significantly builds student knowledge“Engaging nature of programme keeping pupils focused. Year 6 children seeing joined up nature of grammar and reading skills - how their knowledge of former links to fluency. Also able to verbalise how supported teaching within programme helps them to develop understanding of breaking down comprehension questions that they find difficult.”
