What is KAZ Touch Typing?
KAZ's inclusive Mainstream and SEN/Dyslexia touch typing software have proven so effective that it has been nominated for several academic awards. Available in two editions, Junior (6- 11) and adult (ages 11+). Our schools' edition incorporates both options.
The course is a tutorial in itself and consists of 5 modules - pupils start at the top and work their way through each module in order.
The program is presented in a simple and light-hearted manner and has three main attributes:
1. A proven Accelerated Learning teaching method incorporating 'brain balance', teaching the skill quickly and easily. The method uses five scientifically structured phrases to teach the a-z keys in bite-size modules.
2. A comprehensive and easy-to-use teacher admin panel allows for uploading spellings of the week or problematic words, enabling pupils to learn to spell whilst touch typing.
3. A specialised ©Preference Screen developed with guidance from the Dyslexia Research Trust minimises visual disturbances and tailors the course for maximum visibility and comfort for pupils who need it.
All licences include both primary and secondary options.
KAZ works across various devices, and being online can be accessed from school and home, allowing learning to continue beyond the classroom. A download edition is also available when internet access is restricted or unavailable.
Due to numerous teacher requests, we have now released the new 'National Ofqual Regulated Touch Typing Qualifications' (Level 1 - 3 credits and Level 2 - 5 credits) in partnership with OpenAwards.

It is a fantactic program. Step by step, easy to learn. All you have to do is put in the time. I am 48, and never had any experience with touch typing, now after only 5 months, I am at 35-40 words per minute. My goal is to be at 50 by the end of the next month. Somtimes you can teach an old dog new tricks. Additionally, the staff responses to any issue's that I have had has been quick and sorted within days. I never felt any kind of runaround, they generally listened AND took action to responded promptly to any of my concerns. Fantastic product and fantastic company!

Kaz Type is a well presented and proven method for developing touch typing skills. I would highly recommend this to parents who are wanting their children to develop typing skills.
Michael found KAZ’s Mainstream and SEN/Dyslexia Touch Typing Tutor:
- Significantly improves attainment“My 11 year old daughter learned how to touch type using Kaz Type in only a few weeks. The software was engaging and we found she looked forward to the daily sessions. Being a self taught typist myself, I was amazed at how quickly my daughter progressed to fluently touch typing her homework.”
- Significantly reduces attainment gap“In school, it is expected that the majority of work will be completed and submitted electronically. Being able to touch type gives students a huge advantage over their peers and allows them to produce work faster and more accurately. Having touch typing skills will serve our children well not only in education, but as they move into employment this will be a vital and sought after skill by employers.”
- Significantly improves behaviour or wellbeing“I found that now my daughter can touch type, she is able to complete her written assignments more quickly and accurately than before.”

It is one of the few touch typing platforms which cater for a neuro-diverse audience and that is very important to us. They have a lovely balance of video, audio and kinaesthetic input.

I absolutely love Kaz-Type. As a proficient typist myself, in an age when working from home and home learning has been forced upon every family on a global scale, digital literacy is as critical as reading, writing and being fluent in functional arithmetic. Having keyboard skills is central or core to everyone's digital futures.
