What is CodeTheCurriculum?
CodeTheCurriculum provides a complete coding environment which is close to the real world of professional programming for students to learn programming at school or college, supported by a wealth of examples of working programs in fully documented projects.
The Intermediate course is designed to help secondary school teachers who are not computer specialists teach programming skills within their own subject areas, at levels between Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 4. Over 60 projects reinforce learning in the maths, physics and chemistry syllabuses - pupils learn to write programs to solve the problems they encounter in those subjects.
Projects include writing programs to find square roots by numerical methods, solve any linear equations, find the nth term of number sequences, calculate the output of a transformer to any given input (or number of coils), and map out the Periodic Table. At the Advanced level projects include programming working schematics of petrol and diesel engines and solving differential equations numerically, whilst teaching all the relevant programming techniques and providing a huge number of working examples.
